Chris Walken is a unique actor with an immense body of work on film and stage. He started as a very young actor/dancer on broadway musical and shows. He brings to his work a flair, a vividness, and a strong sense humor (as seen through his many appearances on Saturday Night Live). He won a well deserved Oscar for his extraordinary performance in Deer Hunter and was recently nominated again for Steven Spielberg's Catch Me if You Can. He has appeared in over 90 films spanning every possible genre including Pulp Fiction, Biloxi Blues, King of New York, Sleepy Hollow, Batman Returns, True Romance, A View to a Kill, Dead Zone, and Annie Hall. He won an MTV Award for choreographing his own moves in Fatboy Slim's music video Weapon Of Choice. His approach to acting is as original as his work.
Chris has publicly claimed he never turns down a role, because he always learns something regardless of the part or the film. I don't know if that's true, but he did agree to play a key role in my own film, Mistress. He is a pleasure to work with. I interviewed Chris at my home in the Hollywood Hills.
